First of all, I would like to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a very Happy New Year! May 2018 be your Best Year Yet!! A year where you decide to break free from your self-limiting barriers, step into your greatness and become all you were meant to be!! Happy, healthy, prosperous and fulfilled. That doesn't sound like too tall of an order, does it?
I know what you are thinking ... you are like "WHOA lady! Let's not get too carried away here! You don't know my life. You don't know all that I've been through." I get it. I've been there too. But what I am here to tell you is that you have a choice. We all have a choice. Stay where we are OR change. It sounds simple enough when you look at it like that, right?
Here's the thing, you don't need to change everything ALL in one day. You just have to make the decision that you are ready to change your life for the better, create a mantra that is unique to you, and then everyday focus on taking small action steps in the direction of the life you want to create. Small, bite-size chunks, each and every day. One day, before too long, you will wake up and be totally amazed at how far you've come. In case you didn't get it by now, my mantra is, Live My Best Life Now!!

You see, my mission is to help each and every one of you create a life that you love and truly start Living Your Best Life Now! To be able to wake up everyday EXCITED!! To help you realize that each and everyday that we are alive is a gift and it is our duty to make the most of it!!
In order to do that we MUST be willing to embrace change. We MUST be willing to make different choices than what we are currently making. We MUST be willing to learn from others who are living a life that is congruent to the life that we want to create. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, we MUST be willing to take full responsibility for ourselves and for our lives. Every single day is filled with opportunities and possibilities, but are you open-minded enough to see them? Or are you stuck in a self-imposed RUT?
I know this can sound a little scary, or maybe a lot scary, especially if you are someone who has spent most of your life neglecting yourself or playing the blame game. But in order to truly live our best life, we must acknowledge that OUR life is OUR responsibility. You, and only you, live your life. You are in charge. Blaming others for events that have happened in your life is giving your power away. By acknowledging and understanding that each event is a result of choices that you have made and are making, allows you to live from a place of power from within. Once you've taken this position of power, you will then be able to make better decisions for yourself and for your life.
Sure, there will be events that happen in your life that you cannot control, but, YOU can always control how you respond to these events.
If you are still reading this and I haven't scared you off, then I am going to assume you are someone who is ready to create some lasting changes in your life. Give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate YOU! If you are someone who is ready to make a commitment to change, then you are already WAY ahead of the average Joe and that takes courage! I've been on what I call "My healing journey" for about 6 years now (Click here to read more about me), but last year I made a serious commitment to myself that I was going to do whatever it took to finally take my life to a whole new level. To stop clinging to what was safe and comfortable...and to just GO FOR IT!! If you have been following me at all, you may have noticed my evolving transformation.
This is how my year went in a nut shell...
January 1, 2017 I made a serious commitment to myself and to my family that I was going to do whatever it took to become the happiest, healthiest version of myself. I set personal, family, financial & business goals. I wrote them down on index cards & placed them on post-it notes as constant reminders of what I was setting out to achieve. I recommend spending some time on this. Even if you don't know exactly what you want, it is important to have an idea of where you want to go.
Even Multi-Billionaire Richard Branson suggests writing down your goals so you can better track how you are doing. If you are not where you want to be, it is always a good idea to follow the advice of the ones who have a pretty clear idea on how to achieve success. I woke up everyday with this desire to become the greatest version of myself and with my plan in place, I got to work.
I committed to exercising at least 3 days a week, which grew to 5 and I began to love this time I was creating for myself. Every day I wrote in my journal that I would only eat foods that were nourishing and healing to my body, thus, I am happily eating a whole-food, plant based diet about 80% of the time(because it makes my body feel good). I read 32 books. Recited affirmations daily. Welcomed my beautiful nephew into the world with whom I've created an incredible bond with. Took a weekend long course on Intuition, which was amazing. Celebrated our 22nd wedding Anniversary. Traveled to Company events in Toronto, Calgary, St. Albert & Palm Beach. We took our 17-year-old twins with us to Palm Beach where they got to meet some of the most amazing people we are in business with. It was great to see them capture a greater vision of the lifestyle that we, as a family, are committed to creating. Took an 8-week-intensive Business Coaching Boot Camp. Quit my day job so I could start my coaching practice full-time and continue to build my NWM business. Joined Rankmakers. Made many incredible new friendships. Took a family vacation to Vancouver, B.C. Hired a Business Coach. Woke up an hour or two earlier and stayed up an hour or two later. Committed 100% to my supplement regime and I'm feeling amazing!! Allowed myself to be VERY vulnerable and stepped out of my comfort zone over and over and over again. Joined Toastmasters International. Was scared, a lot. Signed up for a healing therapy called TRTP. Put a greater focus on having more fun and to not be so to hard on myself. Said good-bye to anything that was toxic in my life. Got excited, a lot. Had the whole family together over Christmas and celebrated my 42nd Birthday. Visited my massage therapist faithfully. Took my self-care to level that I've never experienced before and in doing so, fell in love with ME ...this bond that I created with myself dramatically strengthened my commitment to my GREATER LIFE plan!
Phew! Did I achieve all of the goals that I set out to achieve? No. Were there times that I felt like I fell flat on my face? Absolutely. But the thing is, I am so super proud of myself for all that I overcame and accomplished AND I am so excited for the coming year ahead!!
I didn't sit around and wait for things to happen ... I went out and made them happen.
What I can tell you is a LOT of change took place over the past year because I made a decision to change and I was open and allowing of all possibilities that came across my path. And I made a huge commitment to myself. Now, I am not saying you have to do what I did, absolutely NOT! But, what I am saying is - you have to start doing what feels right for YOU!
So, Here Are 5 Steps That You can Take Right Now To Create 365 Days Of Possibilities:
1. Create a Plan That Is Realistic For You
2. Block Out Time To Work On This Plan
3. Set Goals & Write Them Down
4. Track Your Progress & Be Accountable
5. Take ACTION
One thing that I do know you have to have is GRIT AND be committed to your growth. You also have to ignore the naysayers and get around people who also have a greater vision for their life. This will make it a lot easier to allow the changes to take place.
