Just curious ... have you ever taken the time to think - I mean really think about it in detail - what you want your ideal life to look like?
If you said NO, don't worry, you are not alone... but now that it has been brought to your attention, maybe it is time?
Imagine ... waking up one morning and your life was all you dreamed of?
All aspects of your life are in order - like ducks in a row - Your health, your finances, your relationships, your career, everything!!!
Take time to imagine ALL of the "Possibilities" NOW!!
See, in order to craft your ideal life and start living it, you must first KNOW what you want your life to look like. Then, and only then, can you start making the necessary changes to move in that direction.
It can be a real problem to get to your desired destination if you have no idea where the place is or what it’s like there, would you agree? Would you even know it if you found it? Is it likely you’ll stumble on your best life by accident or will you have a better chance if you define and map out a path to what you’re looking for?
Here's some crazy stats for you ... one in four people are depressed, and ONLY one in five are actually happy. Wowzers! Am I just crazy enough to believe that EVERYONE deserves to be happy and that I can actually make a difference in changing this jaw-dropping statistic?? Together, let's take a stand and get started on the journey to Living Your Best Life Now and influence as many people as we can along the way<3
I am going to share with you 5 TIPS on how you can start living your best life today. I encourage you not to feel overwhelmed. Just realize that you deserve to be happy and fulfilled and it's ok to take baby steps to get there. The biggest decision that you have to make right now is to simply START.
1. Be Brave and Dream Big
... as Richard Branson would say, "It takes bravery to go after your dreams. Those who achieve great things are the ones willing to be scared but not scared off. But being bold and a risk taker doesn’t mean being foolish; the key is to always protect the downside."
Take the time to craft out what you want your ideal life to look like. If you are someone who is not good at asking for help, now would be the time to let that go. Do your research. Seek out people and information that will help guide you. There are no wrong answers or mistakes, only lessons & knowledge to be gained.
When I decided to follow my dreams, branch out of my comfort zone and start my own business, it wasn't all a bed of roses. To be honest, I was scared sh*tless. But once I had crafted my ideal life, how could I not propel myself forward? I now have big goals and dreams and plans that are much, much bigger than any fears that I have. Sure, it can be scary and there will be bumps along the way, but because I know where I am going, I feel better equipped to navigate through the turbulence.
2. Get Really Good At Just Being You
It is time to let go of all that is not serving you. Stop letting what you perceive others think of you control your life. Who gives a sh*t what other people think of you. The only thing that matters is what you think of you! That's it, that's all!
The trouble for most people is they have become so disconnected from self, that they have no idea who they even are. They've spent so much time living their life worried about pleasing others, that they have no idea of what is actually pleasing to them.
You are not required to put other's happiness before your own, it is a choice. We always have a choice.
No more faking it. Just be the best you, you can be. Get in alignment with who you really are. You are enough.
Who am I and what makes me happy you might be asking yourself? Here's a tip:
I encourage my clients to start making a list of everything thing that brings them joy. Like, when they watch a certain movie, or read a certain book, or hang out with a certain group of people, try a new spiritual practice, have a conversation about a certain topic ... I ask them to really pay attention to what is happening and how it makes them feel. If it brings them joy, add it to the list, if it doesn't, stop doing it!! Sounds too simple right, it is and it works, you should try it! The goal is to get to know yourself better and spend more time doing what is on the "JOY' list.
3. Look After Yourself
We are only given this ONE life and this is the ONLY body we have to live in so doesn't it make sense to give ourselves as much LOVE as possible?? Our bodies truly love us and simply want to be our best friend. With that being said, why, at times, do we treat ourselves like we are our own worst enemy?
Here are some ways that I have found to show myself some love - Now its YOUR turn <3
* Eat wholesome, nutritious food
* Take really good supplements
* Do regular physical activity
* Get involved in activities that interest you
* Take time to laugh & play
* Hang out with people who make you feel good
* Shield yourself from toxic energy
* Be Assertive
* Speak Your Truth
* Set personal boundaries
* Do what makes you happy
* Create a regular self-care routine
*Honor yourself and your feelings
* Learn to say NO
* Express yourself
*Allow yourself to be creative
* Listen to your intuition
* Practice Forgiveness
* Practice Gratitude
* Practice Mindfulness
* Embrace change
* Stand in your POWER
*Speak kindly of yourself and to yourself
Know that it is perfectly ok to ask for help if you are having difficulties doing any of these suggestions on your own. You do not have to go this road to living your best life alone.
4. Do Find Work You Love, Not Just For The Money
Do work that you find enjoyable and rewarding, rather than just working for money. If you are just starting out on your journey of living your best life, you may not be in a position to do work that you love. I get it, you have kids to feed and bills to pay. Whatever it is you are doing, you can give it 110%, don't ever be a half-asser! It is so important to be the best you can be in all you do, as this will attract more of what you DO want in your life.
Once you have spent some time crafting your ideal life, you should have a better idea of what you are passionate about. Did you know that you can start out in your spare-time, taking a class, volunteering in a field that you are interested in or even working at it part-time until you are ready to take the leap into full time? Pretty amazing, right?
Be optimistic and enjoy each day. Your new life is awaiting you!
5. Set Achievable Goals And Be A Person of Integrity
Like I mentioned earlier, this journey is not intended to make you feel over-whelmed. Set achievable goals along the way as you'll want markers and milestones so when you look back on your journey, you can celebrate how far you've come. Start by creating a plan of what you feel is doable for you, right now, in this moment. Make a list of goals that you feel are achievable and give yourself a realistic deadline to commit to. In this process, it is most important for you to be a person of integrity and be the type of person who does what you say you are going to do. You are not too old, you are not too young, you are not too fat, you are not too thin, you get the idea ... NO EXCUSES!! Hold yourself accountable or find an accountability partner.
Be the example ... not the excuse!!
In closing I'd like to finish with this ... Don't put off being happy ~ Embrace change ~ If you are a perfectionist like I was, know that progress, any kind of progress, is perfection ~ Stop lying to yourself that you CAN'T do it!
Every aspect of your life influences your well-being and is worth pursuing living the life of your dreams.
